The i-gel® Plus size 4 is a single-use supraglottic airway from Intersurgical for medium adults weighing 50-90 kg. It combines the features of the original i-gel® and the i-gel® O2. Its soft cuff needs no inflation after insertion, and it has an integral bite block and a buccal cavity stabiliser. The gastric channel is larger than on the standard i-gel®, taking an 18FG tube in size 4 against 12FG on the standard device. An intubation ramp raises the oesophageal seal and, with the larger gastric channel, helps manage regurgitated fluid. A supplementary oxygen port allows passive oxygenation during resuscitation.
